- Formerly the chief financial officer at The Chronicle, Leo Hindery yesterday landed the title of president and chief operating officer of AT&T Consumer Services.
- “Leo Hindery is absolutely the hardest-driving person I’ve ever met,” said Gregg Vignos, a San Francisco attorney who worked with Hindery on the InterMedia startup. “He views his job as a mission or a calling more than a just a job.”
- David Goldsmith, an analyst at Buckingham Research Group in New York, said the combination was hammered out by TCI chief executive John Malone and AT&T chief executive C. Michael Armstrong.
